    Even though the second quarter of 2020 has been non-existing when it comes to international travelling, we are now seeing that many major airlines start to continue its operations in multiple countries. Many countries has also been promoting tourism in order to attract tourists over this coming summer, so travelling might soon be on its increase again. If you are planning on travelling on holiday later this year you should be aware that even though the airline industry is having a really difficult time financially, that does not mean that passengers loses its rights when it comes to flight delays.

    In Europe airline passengers has curtain rights when it comes to flight delays, cancelled flights and denied boarding. Currently the airlines have the rights to cancel flights without having to compensate the passengers, this is of course due to the extra ordinary situation which is seen as force majeure and thereby out of control for the airlines. When it comes to flight delays the passengers does still have rights to claim compensation if the flight is delayed more than 3 hours at the destination.
