    Interesting dishes that should make it to your to-do list at Lima

    Lima is the capital of South American country Peru. This city boasts its rich culture and heritage and has captivating History reaching to you through its delicious cuisine when you are on Food Tour Lima. The city has a number of locally run bistros and restaurants that are dedicated to preserving the traditional taste of Peruvian cuisine. Here explained are a few very interesting of those dishes.

     

    • Cuy: This is actually a guinea pig. It is prepared in rabbit meat style and is a dish prepared mostly on special occasions. The dish is a regular in the restaurants that are visited by tourists often.

     

     

    • Lomo Saltodo: This dish is Asian influence on the cuisine of Lima because of the migrations of 19th century. It is a fusion dish prepared in Chinese-Peruvian style and is a different take on the traditional stir-fried beef and vegetables that are supplemented by chips and fried rice.

     

     

    • Ceviche: When in Lima, eat ceviche! This is kind of an unspoken rule for the visitors of Lima. The preparation style of this dish in Lima is unique. If you want to devour on Chinese food, this is the dish to go for.

     

     

    • Sanguche de Chicharron: Lima is not the place to go healthy or vegetarian. This city is a meat expert and has several dishes to make the day of an animal food lover. One such dish is Sanguche de Chicharron prepared with pork and salsa and covered in crusty bread to offer quick sandwich for the breakfast.

     

     

    • Pisco Sour: The food tour is incomplete without Pisco, the national brandy of Lima. The brandy is made exceptionally flavourful with egg white, Angostura bitters and lemon juice.

     

    There is a sweet dish in doughnut shaped sold as street food too at Lima. It is called Picarones and gives you instant energy while strolling through the streets of the city.
