Perfect Options for the Best Italian Tours

We all love to go to Italy regularly, but we all have slightly different preferences in terms of transportation. The distance to Italy from the Netherlands is at least about 900 kilometers, but usually your destination in Italy is farther away. If you want to travel from Utrecht to Rome, then your journey is at least around 1,600 kilometers. And are you going all the way to the tip of the boot? Then count on around 2,300 kilometers. How you cover those kilometers depends on your budget, the transport options and your personal preferences. Here are ten ways you could travel to Italy. From the Italian Tour Guide you will be getting all the supports.

    With your own car

You like it or you don’t like it, traveling with your own car. The advantages of a car holiday are the flexibility and the carrying of many things. You are not bound by travel times and rules regarding luggage. Traveling by car requires good planning, where you map out the route or an alternative in advance. Preferably the driver and co-driver alternate regularly. If you are unable to make the trip to Italy in one go, you will spend the night in a hotel, motel or campsite on the way. Keep in mind fuel costs and toll roads.

    Practical: the van

The old VW van with curtains or an ultra-modern bus with all the luxury: there is room for everyone. The van is ideal for larger families or groups of friends. You sometimes drive a little less well with a van, but you do have a good view of the road. There is enough space for all luggage and you can even spend the night in a van. Just like with your own car, you drive the van on average in 13 to 15 hours to Northern Italy. For the Private Tours of Rome this is essential.

With the rental car to Italy

If you do not have your own car, have a car that is too small for the holidays or no longer trust your old car, you will hit the road with a rental car . Determine your route and time schedule yourself and spend the night where you want, with a rental car you enjoy complete freedom. The costs for traveling with a rental car are certainly higher than with your own car. The first 100 kilometers are often free, for a trip to Italy this is of course a small matter. In addition to the kilometers and a fixed rental amount, you also pay for fuel and toll roads.

Take your own holiday home: the camper

What could be easier than always having your own ‘holiday home’ with you? Buying a motorhome costs a fair deal, but then you also have something. Luxury and comfort in every place where you want (and may) stand. Traveling with the camper gives you a safe and relaxed feeling. There is enough storage space and you decide where and when you stop or spend the night. For the motorhome there are sometimes separate rules regarding traffic participation. You will also have to deal with higher fuel costs and costs for toll roads. However, that does not outweigh the cheap overnight stays.
