    As per the European Tourism, India is considered to be one of the prominent markets, with over millions of Indians visiting Europe for various reasons every year. The studies have suggested that this number can be reached by more than 15 million by next year. For those who dream of going on a European getaway, there are many great deals which are easily available. This gives a good reason for those who are looking for a way to plan a vacation in Europe. But before that, it is important to pay some attention to get your EU VISA or Schengen visa.

    Type of Visa

    If you are planning to travel to a Schengen Area, then you have to apply for the Schengen visa which is available for a short period of time. And it is usually of two types – Type A and Type C. With the help of this tourist visa, you can either get single entry or access to multiple entries, it depends entirely on what kind of visa you are applying for. The visa for multiple entry access is valid only up to for three months.

    Important Documents Required

    The important documents required for applying for EU VISA are:

    1. Application Form – You can either fill it online and then download or after downloading from the official website get a print of your hard copy.
    2. 2 passport size photos
    3. Passport, and copies of previous visas – at least there must be 2 blank pages in your passport
    4. Get a Travel Insurance with a minimum of €30,000 within the entirety ofthe Schengen area.
    5. Cover letter – you must tell about the purpose of the visit and the itinerary.
    6. Flight tickets – Arrival and departure dates, entry and exit points
    7. Accommodation Proof
    8. If possible getting tickets to travel within in Schengen visa
    9. Birth Certificate
    10. Bank statement
    11. Contract of your employment
    12. Last 3 years Income Tax Returns
    13. Letter from the university
    14. Pension statement
