If this is the first time you visit Playa del Carmen and you arrive at Cancun Airport, you must travel 45 minutes more approximately to get from Cancun to Playa del Carmen, and there are different ways to do it with affordable prices for all pockets, here we tell you to find the most comfortable and accessible for you.

    1.- Rent a car

If the plan is to get to know small towns and visit several places in the Riviera Maya through Playa del Carmen the ideal is to rent a car as soon as you arrive at the airport, it is very simple because when you arrive you will find the stands of all car rental agencies, as City Car Rental Cancun it is not necessary to look for them because the agents will approach you. Prices vary depending on the type of car, season, agency and rental days, so we recommend you ask and compare prices in all companies in this sector.

    2.- Taxi

For people who do not like to fight and bring enough pesos to spend, the best option is to ask for a taxi, just like renting a car this will be very easy because the sales agents will rush on you offering you the taxi service. Prices range from $80 – $150 USD, depending on the agency and season and fit between 4 and 5 people.

    3.- Collective Taxi

If you travel in a group with friends in a group for a special event you can rent a small van-taxi where they fit between 10 and 11 people, these rent the same agencies of cars and taxis. The approximate cost is between $150 – $200 pesos, so it costs about $15 – $20 per person (which is more or less the same as the ADO Bus) and you don’t have to wait, these are just the rents to be left in Playa del Carmen, not for the whole day.

    4.- Bus

One of the most common ways to get to Playa del Carmen is by bus, the ADO leave the Cancun airport every 30 minutes approx. The price is $20 USD and in 45 minutes these in the central Playa del Carmen. If you buy your ticket online it is cheaper 😉

    5.- Private Transportation

One of the best services without doubt, and is that they concentrate almost all the advantages of the previous services, is the one of the private transportation, since in addition to being very comfortable and simple to reserve, it is of the safest thing, since to have a qualified driver and of good training, it guarantees you a unique experience, you do not have to wait, if reservations by Internet you even pay before receiving the service, which makes it perfect to plan your trip, many of the services of transportation from cancun airport to Playa del Carmen include snacks, drinks and even chips of local companies.
