Before you drive off to the long-awaited camping trip using your favourite campervan hire UK, here are a few tips and hacks to consider. These hacks may seem simple or obvious enough but double-checking on the basics can make your camping trip that much easier, comfortable, and hassle-free.

    Hack #1: Store Things Intelligently

Camping holidays in the outdoors requires taking care of food and other supplies in advance. Create a comprehensive checklist of all the items required, to avoid forgetting something and ruining the trip.

    * The absolute essentials for any camping trip, even if a short distance away from civilization, are head torch or lantern, a Swiss Army knife, a first aid kit, duct tape, cable ties, extra batteries, and a power bank.
    * Plan meals ahead and stock up the correct ingredients, in the right quantity.
    * Store all ingredients, especially food ingredients, in airtight plastic containers that keep bacteria, insects, and other animals away.
    * Take pillows and extra-blankets to ensure a comfortable sleep, even if they add up to the overall weight of the luggage. Pillows double up as a good cushion for fragile items.

    Hack #2: Organize Things Smartly

Having all the essential things is only half the job. The key to a successful and stress-free camping trip is organising thing well, for easy retrieval.

    * Square-shaped containers stack up better in storage spaces, will not roll around, and will not knock into each other in the camper van.
    * Plastic water bottles store eggs safely, preventing breakage in transit. A half-litre water bottle generally holds around eight or nine eggs.
    * Taking the tabs off of soft drink or beer cans and slipping it over a hanger gives allows support another hanger, and maximising the limited closet space available in the camper van.
    * Cut soap into small pieces, using a vegetable peeler or a kitchen knife, to just grab one and use it fully for the bath, rather than worry about storing wet soap later.
    * Take along a couple of hanging shoe organisers, to organize essential items around the motorhome bed or kitchen, or to hang it in the shower for easy retrieval of soap, shampoo, and other essentials.

Hack #3: Do More with Less

One crucial aspect of camping is connecting with nature, which requires doing more with lesser resources.

    * Camping invariably means mosquito or insect bites. Rubbing deodorant over mosquito bites quells the itch fast, giving double-duty benefits for a single item.
    * Pack baby wipes, dry shampoo and hand sanitizers to stay clean always, without consuming the resources required for frequent showers or using running water.
    * Don’t bother tagging bulky speakers along. Get a plastic cup, cut a hole in the side to fit the corner of the smartphone or tablet, and listen to the favourite video or music with the sound amplified.

    Hack #4: The Campsite Hacks

The choice of the campsite, and organizing it well, makes all the difference between a good and a bad camping holiday.

*Camping in the wild outdoors means no access to electricity. Batteries drain away quickly as well, or needs to be conserved. Strapping a headlamp around empty milk or water jug will light up the whole tent.
    * Arrive in daylight to set up the camp. As the saying goes, the night is dark and full of mysteries.
    * When setting up camp, use a flat pitch, preferably in an area with plenty of space around the camp.

Last, but not the least, the key to a successful camping trip is a good camper van that allows you to explore offbeat places in total peace of mind and comfort. Opt for a reputable campervan hire UK, which is not cost-effective, offers reliable transportation, and also has good recommendations from previous clients.
